Holiday World Announces “Firecracker” For 2017

Holiday World showed us all their great 2017 addition by giving us their own rendition of the social media craze the Mannequin Challenge. Through all the subtle hints and Easter eggs, viewers were able to conclude that Holiday World will be adding a Calypso flat ride called “Firecracker.” This Fourth of July themed ride will be located in the Fourth of July section of the theme park, just across from one of Holdish World’s current flat rides, Liberty Launch.

Firecracker will be a refurbished “Calypso” flat ride (manufactured by Mack Rides GmbH & Co KG) that is being bought from the little-known amusement park “Fun Spot Amusement Park and Zoo,” located in Northern Indiana. As of the time of writing this article, no logo for the ride has been released.

Even with a new family-friendly flat ride coming in 2017, Holiday World isn’t stopping there! For the 2017 season they will also be adding;

  • Restaurant improvements, allowing more access to their free drinks.
  • Shade structures over Kitty’s Tea Party, Jungle Racers, Otorongo, and Comet’s Rockets.
  • A new 6-story tower at Watubee Family Water Slide
  • Track work on two of their legendary wooden coasters, The Voyage, and The Raven

2017 is going to be a great year for overall park improvements at Holiday World!
