SeaWorld San Antonio Unveils “Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster” for 2017

SeaWorld San Antonio’s President Carl Lum today announced Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster, a brand new roller coaster for SeaWorld San Antonio! Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster is a motorbike coaster similar to Sea World [Australia]’s Jet Rescue (shown below). Work has already begun on the new ride, which is due to be completed summer 2017.

Wave Breaker riders will experience the new attraction from cars that resemble jet skis. The design of the new ride will allow park guests to lean into a series of banked and serpentine turns, reaching heights of up to 61 feet. Another feature that will separate Wave Breaker from other coasters is the fact that most of its 2,600-foot track will be constructed directly over water, creating the sensation that riders are racing across SeaWorld’s Ski Lake.
